Oh, Colombia’s gastronomy is one to savor, no doubt. I think what I’ve done the most ever since I got to Bogota is eating out at restaurants, pandemic and all. I’ve tried all sorts of cuisines, from Asian to Italian to Peruvian. All delicious! But one that truly captured my heart (and stomach), is called “La Herencia” entre pues. It’s located in a lovely area called Chapinero. The restaurant itself is like a lovely big house, with 2 floors and outdoor dining as well. It’s just perfect! The ambiance is very cozy and chic and a gorgeous rustic yet elegant interior.
It has become our favorite brunch spot on Sundays and it’s the perfect cure to a hangover, might I add! haha. Riccardo and I love going there not only because the food is so good and delicious, but also because you are sure to have a very good time. It is the perfect spot to go with friends, family or a romantic date.
They serve traditional Colombian food with a gourmet twist! Everything is just cooked to perfection. They have so much variety, from Bandeja Paisa, to all sorts of bowls(my favorite is bowl costeño), seafood, fried yucca, chicharrones and so much more! They also have these frosted mimosas to die for!!! I always have like 3 hahaha. And I swear you can eat and eat but the food there is cooked to well and the ingredients are so fresh and natural, that you won’t feel heavy or super full.
