Italy Trip – R O M E

I began to glimpse through my pictures and they brought me so much joy, so much sense of gratitude! I’ve cried of happiness looking back at those moments and just feeling so blessed. I’m sharing these pictures with you all in hopes that they can bring a smile on your face. A little distraction from whatever it is you are doing right now. I hope that as you peek through my pictures, you are able to fall in love with Italy, as much as I have. Maybe it’ll wanna make you book your next flight for 2021? If you’ve already visited Italy, maybe these pictures will take you back to that moment you had your first pizza in Rome. Or to that first impression when you saw the Colosseum from the outside. You can try to reminisce over all those special walks around the city of Rome, the city of love, all the restaurants you visited, all the emotions you felt. It’s important that during these devastating, scary and strange times, we overindulge ourselves with gratitude, with things that fill us with excitement. Easier said than done, I know. But let’s try. We have to recognize and acknowledge all the things we are grateful for. Think about all the places you have visited, all the people you have met, your family, the friendships that have filled you with so much love, all the lessons you have learned, your next door neighbor, your school, your teachers, your doctors, the ones sacrificing their lives for us, all the things that have brought you a sense of accomplishment. Thank yourself. Be grateful for the sole reason of being alive! It is a miracle to be here on this planet and we should never take it for granted.

I had the privilege to visit Italy for the first time back in March of last year, 2019. I went with my dear friend Laurita and then obviously we stayed with my love Riccardo, who was our personal private tour guide. Laura and I were so lucky to visit Rome with a local Roman! Our friend Lorenzo, who we worked with in Club57, took us around the best spots in Rome! We had the most amazing Italian experience with him and Riccardo, and they even cooked us a welcome dinner. So sweet!

Italy really stole my heart. Their culture, their history, the food, the people, their traditions, the way they prioritize spending quality time with family and friends above anything else. There is something so nostalgic about Italy. You just never want to leave that state of mind!

We stayed in Rome for 4 night if I’m not mistaken (Laura correct me if i’m wrong), visited all the typical museums and churches but I unfortunately lost the majority of all those pictures. I seriously had some bomb pictures but shit happens. Thankfully I was able to recuperate a few photographs.

Enjoy !! Doing this has legit become the best therapy for me… healing the quarantine blues…
