MONDAY’S STORY TIME| 5 lessons I learned over the weekend

Hello my loves! Hope you all had an amazing weekend filled with love and happiness. I sure did! And I’m going to be completely honest with you guys, I could of had a waaaaay better weekend. But sometimes when you have the most unfortunate events happen to you, it’s when you appreciate all the little things we have. In other words, it helps us to be grateful and thankful for the little things we overlook every single day.

So here are 5 things I learnt with much appreciation:

  1. If you have health you can have everything. We constantly take our health for granted. We think it won’t ever give up on us. Sometimes we are so well, we forget to give our bodies the love it needs. Our bodies are our temples and our greatest gift. I learnt this past weekend, to love my body and love my health more than anything in this world. I reflected on the fact that once our health is jeopardized, you can’t do all the things you want to do. If you are weak and not your optimal self, you won’t deliver the best that you can. Conclusion: Take care of your body, always.
  2. Jean skirts can look good with almost anything. Ok, I I guess I learnt a variety of lessons this past weekend but I genuinely realized just how versatile jean skirts can be! I swear they are like the new basic pair of jeans. Specially if you live in Miami, a jean skirt can really come in handy. They look good, they feel good and they literally go with anything! I promise to do a blog post on how to style jean skirts, very soon…
  3. Biore 2 minute-Charcoal heating masks are the bomb! If you love face masks as much as I do, you are going to love this one. It is perfect for when you are on the go and it doesn’t need more than just 1 minute to take effect! It leaves your skin feeling smooth and it really cleans out your pores. Plus, it has this really pleasant heating sensation that I love!!! I’ve tried a bunch of face masks! But this one, has become my new favorite.
  4. A healthy and united bond with your mother will always get you more. Our mothers are also something we usually take for granted. They are always there for us and you can guarantee that they love us more than anyone else on this planet. This past weekend I was lucky enough to spend time with my mom and I was reminded just how important it is to have a healthy relationship with her. When you are in unity with your mother, everything else will be. Love her, be thankful for her and let her know how much you love her.
  5. Always follow your gut. I won’t really get into details with this one, but something really challenging happened to me this past weekend that made me learn, just how valuable and clever our intuition can be! Always follow your gut, if you feel something it is always for a reason. Do you what feel. It rarely ever fails!

And that is it my loves!!!! Hope you guys enjoyed and hopefully take some life inspo out of this one. Have an amazing rest of the week.

Love always,

Monday’s Story Time| What sex and the city taught me

I was born in 1992, so I obviously was not watching Sex and the City when it was airing. I do, however, remember my mom watching it religiously. It did catch my attention since then, specially Carrie. She was like  goddess to me.

I then was in my Senior year of high school and this was way back when Blockbusters still exited. I would go every other day to rent out each season, over and over and over again. I literally watched all 6 seasons endless amounts of time. They not only inspired me to live my life fully but to always dress my best. If you ask me, what are some of my life mottos? “What would Carrie Bradshaw do?”.

So here are 6 lessons Sex and the City taught me.
